Spine-Worx Back Realignment Device Review

I spent a decade in the army as a paratrooper. A few too many hard landings and years of humping a heavy ruck sack have left me with a lot of aches, pains and some serious spinal issues. On top of that a bike wreck back in 2006 didn't help the situation.

Currently I've been seeing a VA quack, a good chiropractor, and undergoing physical therapy 3 times a week over the last month and a half. My back had gotten to the point that I could hardly walk which spurred this recent heavy medical activity.

My chiropractor visits are doing great, but after a day or so I begin hurting again, by the end of the weekend I'm really bad off. Granted, each week has been better than the one before, but I was looking for something to help in between visits that would help supplement my treatments. I, on a recommendation of a friend, bought the spine-worx device.

I received it yesterday, not 3 hours after I got home from the chiropractor. I was just on my way back out the door when it came, but decided to open it up and check it out real quick. I followed the directions (very important)and gave it a quick test run.

Yes it is uncomfortable to lay on, but upon getting up I immediately felt much better than I had ten minutes before. This is even after just coming from an adjustment.

I used it right before turning in last night and can say I just had the best nights sleep I've had in several months. Plopped on it again first thing this morning. As I write this review, my pain level has been cut by at least two thirds of what it generally is at this point in the day.

I can't say how it would work for someone not getting professional help in conjunction with the spine-worx, but I can't believe what an immediate difference it made for me. I thought I'd wait a couple of weeks before making a review, but it has made such an impact for me in the first 24 hours, I thought I'd get out my first impressions right away.

So my initial impression is, this may have been the best 30 dollars I've ever spent. I'll update as initially planned in a week or two to report my longer term experiences.

Spine-Worx Back Realignment Device Overview

Designed by a chiropractor, this natural back support system uses your body's own weight to apply controlled pressure to the spinal vertebrae. As you lie on Spine-Worx, your spine is pressed firmly against the length of its two unique padded and contoured rails, injection-molded to fit the natural shape of the mid- and lower back. The vertebrae in the spine are gradually and gently encouraged to realign into their natural positions, which helps to relieve backpain and improve overall mobility.

This things works! - E. Fleming - delaware
On the floor with a small pillow for your head is the way to go with this. Just a few minutes, once or several times a day will help "crack" your back into shape. It doesn't replace a chiropractor, it just helps those times you can't make it there or want to hold off going. When on the floor, try moving your arms in all directions, above, to the sides, or to your legs to get all angles. You may be sore the first couple times using this. It helped me, because I work night shift and doctors are not available at 10pm to help when my back is not cooperating.

This really didn't DO anything. At all. I have damage from an old severe whiplash injury and since I spend hours on the computer, I was hoping it would help at least with upper back pain. It kinda hurt although I tried to stick with it to see if it would get better, but really, it did nothing. Several friends tried it too and all agreed it was lame & you're better off with something less passive like massage, chiropractic, yoga, tens units, and/or exercise balls. Bottom line is you gotta get things moving and the blood flowing as much as possible for any real relief. If laying around on a piece of plastic really helped I would have invested!!!!

Interesting tool to relax muscles - elle.victor - Mt. Baldy, CA USA
The Spine-Worx is a well-built tool that is based on an interesting concept. I can't say definitively how much it has done for me. I read other reviews and heard about all the popping back into joints, the immense relief, the life-changing effects. I haven't had those - maybe because my back wasn't so out of alignment to begin with. However, I started from doing nothing and since using the device, I do know it's doing something. My lower back tension has eased and it no longer hurts to sit in my chair at work. My theory is this device works better if you have more weight to exert pressure against it. I am very small, so the effects I get when I lie on the device are just a pleasant (sometimes uncomfortable) sensation of my lower back muscles doing something. I've never been to a chiropractor so I can't compare it to that. One thing you should keep in mind: I also have a lot of shoulder and neck tension. When I use the Spine-Worx device, it feels almost like my lower back tension gets pushed into my upper back, like a tube of toothpaste. Who knows if that's scientific, but after I use this I have to spend some time massaging my upper back too so it doesn't stay so tense. I've started to rest my head on the flared end and use it to relax my shoulders as well. Overall, this is a good product and I will keep using the device because I can tell it's making a difference.

This thing really works - Stymied -
I have debilitating problems with my L3-L4-L5-S1 disks with severe pain down my left hip and leg that sometimes requires me to use a wheelchair. Surgeries corrected physical problems but didn't stop the pain. I was skeptical this would work but for the low cost I decided to give it a try. The first time I used it 60%-70% of the pain was gone within a few minutes and the relief lasted for several hours. The more I use it the longer the relief lasts. I now only have to use it 2 or 3 times a day to keep the pain at manageable levels and have not had to use the wheelchair at all. See the other reviews for more details about positioning yourself on the device but I wanted to report that for my medical condition it really does work and it fits in my suitcase so I can carry it with me when I have to travel.
